Solid Edge 2019 Installation Download Notes

You can now download the new Solid Edge 2019 from the GTAC download site:

You will need a webkey account to access this site.

**** Important****

If you are planning to install Solid Edge 2019 for a node locked license ONLY, you can download the Solid_Edge_2019.exe file.

This is a self-extracting file that will load Solid Edge 2019 and only Solid Edge 2019.

If you need to install the License Manager,Standard Parts Administrator, or any other of the components listed in the traditional Solid Edge installation menu,shown below, you will need to download the Solid_Edge_DVD_ENGLISH_2019.exe file. This self-extracting file will launch the traditional Solid Edge installation menu, shown below.

The Solid_Edge_DVD_ENGLISH_2019.exe file is found in the Media DVD folder.

The Solid_Edge_DVD_ENGLISH_2019.exe is number 4 on the list.

The Media DVD folder contains core Solid Edge and language-specific versions of the files you would receive if you requested physical media. The Media DVD downloads exists as the DVD includes applications that are language-specific (such as Mold Tooling and Electrode Design).

The additional subfolders (Data Management, Standard Parts, View & Markup, etc.)contain associated applications with language variations where available.

If you prefer to receive a physical DVD, send an email to dsom.plm@siemens.com. Be sure to include your customer install number (Sold-to ID) in the email text and"Solid Edge V219" as the email subject.

Download and Install:

Step1: Download the desired self-extracting executable to your machine.

Step2: Double-click the self-extracting executable. Contents will unbundle and install.

Note:

Detailed installation instructions are available in the “sesetup.pdf” file extracted in the Solid Edge folder.
