Simcenter Capabilities

Fast Cartesian mesh with automatic detection of fluid and solid regions

The mesh can be automated easily even for the most complex CAD geometries thanks to the help of SmartCells technology. This unique technology which combines the Cartesian mesh with analytical (or semi-empirical) solver models is extremely efficient. It allows great precision for simulation with a reduced number of mesh elements compared to traditional CFD simulation software. Concretely, Smart Cells makes it possible to reduce the time spent meshing and solving, even on the most complex geometries.

Parametric study

Simcenter allows you to compare different configurations and different settings to allow engineers to understand the influence of certain modifications (geometries or conditions) on the results. Users can compare these results as values, graphs, or animations.

Dedicated module for the analysis of the cooling of electronic components

In addition to large databases of fan curves and packaging materials or 2-Resistor components, it also includes functions and specialized physics such as a PCB model and current Joule heating. The module is ideal for more in-depth simulations on electronic systems. The module also includes a material library in addition to the basic materials.

Dedicated module for HVAC

Dedicated module for HVAC provides specific functionalities, in particular for heating, air conditioning and ventilation issues. Comfort parameters are included in the HVAC module, in order to estimate the thermal comfort of the occupants and the efficiency of the ventilation systems. Advanced features allow more realistic simulation of radiation. The module also includes a material library in addition to the basic materials.

Advanced module for combustion and hypersonic fluid displacements

Simcenter allows to simulate the air flow in hypersonic regime with the corresponding effects. For combustion modeling and analysis, the module manages the thermal effects of the combustion of gas mixtures. The module also gives the user the possibility of carrying out hypersonic analysis by simulating the air flow in hypersonic regime along with associated effects, such as the ionization of air at high temperature and the viscosity.

Dedicated module for thermal analysis of LED lights

It contains the necessary radiation models,such as discrete ordinates and Monte Carlo. It provides the possibility of absorbing radiation in transparent materials and takes into account refraction as in lenses. The LED module is ideal for the lighting industry and especially for LEDs, it includes a unique new LED model which predicts accurately operational light output (hot lumens) and temperature for your LED in situ.
