How to adjust the scale of a section view.

When you place a section view, it is place in alignment with, and at the same scale as, the view that contains the cutting plane. To change the scale of the Section view independently from the view with the cutting plane, you need to first turn off the Maintain Alignment option, found on the context tool bar when you RMB click on the Section view.

With this turned off, you can go to the Properties of the Section view and change the scale on the General tab in the Properties dialog.
