UPDATE: The Windows updates KB5072033 and/or KB5070311 from Microsoft will help resolve this issue.
In the following article, look for paragraph header: “Windows 11 SMB search on network shares is broken after the November 2025 Update. Slow or empty search results”
It suggests, according to an IT person from another company, that the best approach for now would be the following:
"In the short term, while waiting for an official fix from Microsoft, the recommended mitigation measure is to uninstall update KB5068861 and then pause Windows updates for about 3 to 4 weeks. This update affects File Explorer on Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2, causing a major slowdown of the search engine. Searches become slow enough that Solid Edge considers the folder no longer indexed. Specifically, a search on a network drive with a number that normally took 2 seconds now takes 45 seconds, disrupting the operation of Solid Edge Data Management."
NB: one alternate solution in some cases is to uninstall KB5067036 and pause windows updates for 3-4 weeks.
